I got my hands on a stock brake bleeder screw from both the front and rear brakes on our car and measured them to be M10x1.0 and just a hair short of 1.25" long, so matching that up on www.speedbleeder.com I came up with part # SB1010S
Just ordered 4 tonight off ebay for 33 shipped, I will update this when I have them installed to confirm they work
I would assume the same part would apply to the Mz3 as well since we share rear brake calipers.
they arrived in the mail today and they are a direct fit with the bleeders I ordered from mazdaspeed motorsports.
so they seem to be a perfect match assuming the part number I got online is actually the part I have on my car.

It's raining here too or I would be working on this...
Nice Garage Ted. Hey if you ever need help sheeting the roof or rocking it gimme a call. Im a carpenter by birth. Im sure though its still kinda cold up there and framin with frozen fingers sucks.
just installed them and they work great
use a bit of thread seal tape because when you crack the bleeder, its not a 100% seal on the threads as the seller suggests, but overall, i just did a full flush by myself in 20 mins, cant beat that.

all mazda 3's have the same rear calipers and rotors to my knowledge

Carbotech has different rear brake pads for the MZ3 and MS3. Are you sure they are the same, the rotor is the same size tho.
as said, i think they are the same
maybe carbotech makes different part numbers to help differentiate between car models? dunno, but if you look at hawk, they are listed as the same.

Oh, i didn't check out Hawk, if they have the same part number then they are likely to be the same then
For me, it's the only way to be sure that air isn't getting back into the system. It is kinda slow, though, perhaps pumping the brakes is faster, and I guess with these screws you could bleed at the track without having to drag the bleeder along...
I just bought the cap for the bleeder (same as for european cars) and attached it to a garden sprayer with release valve, works better than the Motive!
power bleeders are great in the shop, but with a speed bleeder all you need is a small piece of hose, a gatorade bottle and a 10mm wrench or is it 7/16" hmmm
ohh and some brake fluid
Aye, 10mm to remove the stock bleeders, 7/16" to install the speedbleederz

Yeah keep an eye on the fluid level or you'll run into problems quick!

Ya, I think I was a bit overzealous with my bleeding...went through 3/4 of a can of ATE SuperBlue  whoops!
3/4 quart is about how much I use for a full fluid replacement. I think you are fine there. It takes quite a bit at the first corner to get the fluid out of the reservoir, master, etc., but then the other three corners go quickly.
It's a good idea to have a second quart on hand before starting a bleed job, just in case.
By "thread seal tape" you mean just regular teflon tape used on water pipes etc?
Thanks for the part# as well. Going to pick up a set for when I do my brakes. Any idea if this part will work on the clutch? or if there is something similar?
clutch has a similar bleeder, it may be the same size, but i didnt think of it when i measured the brakes, im gonna guess its smaller thread than the brakes, but if you are game, check it out for us.
Little tip on swapping fluids. Use a turkey baster to drain the stock fluid resevoir before starting, and then fill it with the fresh fluid. You'll go through alot less fluid when bleeding or flushing out the system.
