What DO or Did you do for a living ? (experience)
I thought with all the world wide membership on this forum it would be interesting to learn what some of us did (many members retired) or presently do for a living. Also what kind of experience and education in the chosen field of study or career choice? I would say post anything you feel like from a paper boy, professional couch potato to a CEO in Facebook or Rocket Scientist.
Lets have some fun with this and see what we have here for members and what we all do or did?
I guess to keep the thread active and as I was the one that started it I should at least be the one to start with mine.
I do ask because of specific guidelines on this forum about vendors and other regulation in that topic (Vendor Rules https://www.mazda3forums.com/92-vend...dor-rules.html ) area not to ask about anything you either personally know about my current business or my product lines of Performance Parts. I am only a member on this forum and nothing more. Just 'havin fun with my M3.
Sorry in advance for any of my bad grammar ,spelling errors and sentence structure, that was never important in my life or my education direction.

I have several years college credits in other interests mostly Biology,Anthropology,Theology, Archaeology, Paleontology(Paleontologist, let me say I liked Dinosaurs long before they were a fad or popular with movies.) and a couple other in the Human Healthcare field but they are not really relevant to Auto forums and because I did not pursue the career I am not really going to detail them.
Currently I like to think I am semi-retired. However I am still Engineering and Designing several Performance parts for a few platforms that will be offered and sold under a partnership business not directly competing with my line of parts offered since about 1979. I still maintenance several long time customer's ECU's for Performance calibrating on their Track and street performance Cars.(2 specific platforms) And I work as the service manager from time to time as I have mentioned a few times on this forum when I feel like it or my good friend ask me to come help out in his Auto Service Shop. I keep current and updated on my ASE rating by testing when required. And I like the free stuff and perks I get now from ASE having been around for a few decades.
I keep busy with my own cars and I have several Mazda 3 parts projects on the drawing board and machining up stuff both engine and suspension related for my own personal MAZDA 3 .
I'm just a prison guard in cen cal
M3RacerX, where to begin. You have quite a resume.
I have a 1 year auto repair diploma from Wake Tech comm college in Raleigh NC from back in 1988. Have a 3 year Graduate of Theology degree from Heritage Baptist Institute in Cleveland, OH from 1997. Served as a youth pastor and am involved with many outreaches trying to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I personally became a born again Christian in 1993.
Mechanically, I've been a auto tech for 30 plus years. Worked for Chrysler and Toyota dealerships as well as independents. I have ASE Master and L-1 certification. Was a Toyota Master Diagnostic Tech for years prior to my current job as a auto tech for a body shop outfit doing customer auto repair as well as the mechanical and electrical, and SRS repairs on collision vehicles from our 2 body shops.
Father of 5 and recently a new grandfather and married to my original wife.:smile2: God is good!
Boredom swirls around my resume'...
Three years retired ex UPS guy, 36 total years with the company, 31 full time driver and 28 years on the same route. My body told me it was time to go. Working part time a few days a week on a local small engine shop five minutes from home now. Love the commute lol.
Of course, this being the Midwest, snow happens and the population panics. To wit :https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b2c4017f74.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2c9fcd6b5d.jpg

All those yard machines made me flash back to my grandfathers shop of 30-40 years ago, I could totally smell it, wow.
Rick. very good write up about your working experience and other life experience. I had a suspicion from a few of your responses that your were no average DIY or internet surfing answer member. :wink2:
I have taken Theology a semesters and found it to conflicting with how I interpret some beliefs. I did myself become a Born Again Christian 1983. But I still retain my own interpretations of Christianity and now it shares comfortably, my thoughts beliefs and personal theories of Science. I am a Quantum Physics nerd for sure. :nerd:
BODY SHOP MANAGER
You should post a little about that?:grin2:
