Frustrating F/S moderation.

Okay, for back story on this, I attempted to post a new F/S thread that I had previously attempted to sell about a year ago. Thread was deleted by Lara due to 'not being able to have two F/S threads for the same thing,' despite the age and dust associated with the thread, which I thought would be silly to bump up.

*edit* Please refrain from posting PM's. Thank you.

So, after getting that response from Lara, I attempt to bump my prior thread up with new info and new pictures, only to have the bumps deleted because they are not needed on a thread nearing a year old, by FemGearHead.

*edit* PM removed.

So, I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.

Under usual circumstances, I would just cut the cord and attempt to sell this elsewhere, but I had a lot of interest in this last time.

I'm posting this as a reference point to a possible change in moderation staff policies regarding such issues. I realize that this is something simple to fix, and would like it resolved before I get any more frustrated related to it.

Maybe if you request that the old thread be locked/deleted, then you could make a new thread.

+1 on what halo0 said. that would probably be the best course of action.

Re: Frustrating F/S moderation.

That may be the case, but I shouldn't have to request that considering the circumstances.  Instead of reminding me that I have a thread that's AGES old, the current thread should have been saved vs. the existing, dusty being expunged.

Instead, we have now dragged out a simple 'create a thread' instance into an ordeal that I have started ANOTHER thread regarding.

I follow all the rules of this forum, and I think that I deserve better than to be run around the block just to sell an item.  All of my posts have been useful or informative, which is more than I could say for my posting habits on caraudio.com and the like, so it's not like I'm the bottom of the barrel problem child here.

Re: Frustrating F/S moderation.

I somewhat agree with you, but the mods let some rules slip, it just complicates things in other cases.

Re: Frustrating F/S moderation.

I've removed the PM's you posted, since posting them in public is not allowed. Someone recently got a time out for doing so. Please do not add them back in.

Thank you.

*edit* I've locked this thread now because after asking politely not to post PM's in public, the orig. poster continued to do so.

I will bring this up to the Administration and if they wish to chime in, they will.

Please do not start another duplicate topic on this. Thank you.
