Spell checker for posts

There was an old thread about this from 2005, so I thought starting fresh would be best.

Any of the staff ever look into a Spell checking program for members when posting, for those of us that constantly type really fast and make mistakes.

We have one over on Carolinamazdas we can use and it lets us correct only words we wish to correct, does not mess up slang at all.

Would be a really nice addition to have and use as needed.

Comments, options, thoughts ?

Don't all new'ish browsers have automatic spell checkers? I know my IE, Safari and Firefox all do.

They do, but they aren't perfect (FF absolutely hates the Canadian spelling of words for example)

It's like the FF programmers were scarred by a polar bear as a child and are taking it out on us innocent Canadians

Well it isn't our fault you guys don't know how to spell stuff!

But seriously, even if we installed a spell checker, it would have the same problems... and unlike your browser one, you probably wouldn't be able to teach it. Your browser, you can just hit "Learn Spelling"
