Member Reviews - For Vendors

Us vendors need an area to post reviews about members as potential customers.

Some people are not worth dealing with as a customer. Threats to dispute charges are not taken lightly.

Why don't you utilize the transaction rating feature?

Are you proposing that this be something only the vendors can see? Otherwise, I don't think it's prudent to broadcast every user's name that buys from a vendor publicly. A certain level of privacy should be expected.

Additionally, if it's only viewable by vendors, that opens the door to misuse as you could "blacklist" someone unfairly. Just MO, of course.

Re: Member Reviews - For Vendors

sure, visible to vendors only. This is only for special cases, such as I am dealing with, where the customer says the item doesn't work. He sent it back and it works 100% correctly. He is now threatening to call his CC company because I told him he cannot get a new item because there is nothing wrong with his old item...

I wouldn't wish this guy on anyone.

So if he sent it back, why can't you just replace the item as an even swap? He'll be happy if he gets it and it works correctly this time, and if it doesn't work correctly, then you can tell him he is doing something wrong for sure, and should seek help installing/using whatever he purchased.

Because then we are stuck with an item that works fine but is used and the manufacturer won't take it back or swap it.

So, how would you feel if you were the person that got one new HID bulb and one HID bulb that had been installed and used by a customer for a month? I don't think you would be very happy...

+1

I realize I have zero say in this but I wouldn't want a HID kit that had been previously installed by another person. If it were up to me, I'd tell the customer that it was tested and worked fine and ask if he could give it another shot. You should pay for the shipping however. That seems like a fair compromise to me.
