is there a way to unsubscribe from threads?

Just wondering if there's any way to unsubscribe from a thread you've posted in. I use the "Show new replies to your posts." link at the top, and it gets cluttered from old issues or threads I don't care about anymore.

Is there an addin to the forums that might accomplish this, or am I missing something that's already there?

I think it's possible that you could alter your settings, so that on future posts you could unsubscribe, but there would be sacrifices:

Profile > Notifications and Email
Check "Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic."

You will then have to mess with the other settings in there so that you don't get a bunch of extra email spam you don't want, but that means that in some cases you won't get email when you used to.

I've been wishing this was an option for the longest time.

Instead, I'm very careful as to which thread I post in as I'm not into the chatting (outside the NW section), just talking about mazdas.

I would love to see this feature added too. Doesn't sound like it would be too hard to code something in that would do this, but then again I'm not a web page developer, so what do I know? Hehe.

Can the mods do something about this? We need an "unsubscribe" option thanks

Re: is there a way to unsubscribe from threads?

Seriously, this is one of the most asked for features and the mods just ignore it.

Re: is there a way to unsubscribe from threads?

No, the Mods and Admins don't ignore it. We would also like to see that capability. Unfortunately, it's not part of the software package this site utilizes.
