Most of the informative posts are gone?

I just came back after a long vacation and heard this site was down and a lot of posts are gone? Isn't there a back up? How could you run a board as important as this one without any backup? Please take more responisiblity running this board as we all share our knowledge and time here.

Most of the informative posts are gone?

Of course no one expected this to happen... But honestly.. as quickly as they got the site back up, I have no complaints at all, and nor should anybody else. It happens, things crash. Theres plenty of informative stuff left, and if you can't find something you need to know about, re post the question, I'm sure someone could answer.

Velocity Red HB MTX
Tint 35% front 15% back
Magnaflow Cat-back
CDT 61's front, 6x rear, Infinity Ref. 7540a
Ascendant Audio Atlas 15, Profile Ha1000
It goes boom. Like so.

Most of the informative posts are gone?

I just spent the last 24 hours rebuilding my laptop after a major harddrive failure. (With backups from what I could save) I know how these guys feel losing information ...

3guy - You have to realize, backups were made. As you can see by everything that's left. But this is a LOT of information and unless you backup every day stuff gets lost. The forum team has done a great job getting things back up and running, so before lecturing them on this subject, how bout offering some gratitude for what they do, and the hours they put in every day while you can take the luxury of going on vacation.

I mean seriously,

Get off the horse and think about what you are actually saving.

Simple answer to the situation... Shit happens. Get over it.

We're fortunate to be part of such an informative and useful community as these forums. We're even MORE fortunate to have forum administrators (consisting of volunteers) dedicated to maintaining and keeping these boards up and running. It takes a shitload of work and yet these people keep giving! We should all be grateful this place even exists.

If you feel that there are any questions you found useful that are now missing, just ask them again. I'm sure everyone on the board would be willing to re-explore them.

^^^ In this case, "Forum Team"= Mz6ZoomZoom & Flipped Cracker. They did it all.

Plus, Frosty found, and encouraged others to recover, some of our precious data by searching our personal caches. Others have rewritten long, lengthy articles lost in the disaster.

3Guy, haven't you ever had a moment that made you want to ?__________ ()

Happens to the best of us (Literally, in this case.)
