Howdy all,
Own an A4A Red 2006 Mazda 3 SP23 5spd Auto, factory black leather interior, has the silver external door handles. Second owner, purchased with 50,xxxkm's from a family friend, now after 7 years has 223xxxkm's. Left the dealership lowered 25mm all round and has 19" x 8" chrome rims.

The things has been meticulously maintained its entire life, and still drives like when we got it. I have noticed that the engine has started to burn a little bit of oil, almost a litre about every ~2500km's. I also have noticed an ever so slightest of rattles on start up every morning that goes away with in a second of the oil pressure building up.

I was google'n and found this site, and now have read through the entire 150+ page thread on the 2.5L conversion. What an awesome thread, and thank you all some much for those who have documented and contributed to the 2.5L swap thread.

The Mrs uses it the most, so it will stay on the road until it does a bearing and then I will track down a suitable 2.5L donor.

Being that we never got the Ford Fusion here in Aus, it will most likely have a Mazda 6 or an 3 SP25 motor.
So yeah, just wanted to voice my appreciation, as its too good a car to let go and now I realize I can swap in a later model better designed engine that will last ~400xxxKms with out oil consumption issues, give me a little extra poke, and run of the stock ECU...what a treat!
