Hi, I’m new and need help

I’m trying to help my mother with her headlights but could really use some help myself. She has a 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback and the headlights on it I don’t think are standard and I have no experience with this type. I believe they are xenon, and they track with the car movements. Her passenger side headlight is out and the dealer wanted to charge $2000 to fix it because there is moisture in it, I’m assuming he wanted to put in a whole new assembly. I’m looking for a cheaper solution. Is it possible to order standard non xenon headlight assemblies for both sides and install those relatively easily? She does not care if they track or anything, just wants working headlights. Would that entail re-wiring or is it simple. Or do you think I should take the existing assembly out and try to just dry and seal it and then see if I can just get away with a new bulb? A friend warned me that the voltage is upped a lot for the xenon lights and can be dangerous, is this something I shouldn’t be messing with as a novice or just disconnect the battery?Any advise would be appreciated.
