New Fusion Owner
I was almost 75% certain I was going to buy a Hyundai Sonata but wanted to stop by Ford and Chevy to do due diligence. For my budget I was looking at the Fusion Titanium with the smart cruise control. My salesperson surprised me with a certified pre-owned 2017 Ford Fusion Platinum AWD 2.0L EcoBoost loaded with everything under the sun at the same level as my budget. Liked the color, interior, and the 2.0L EB is peppy and nimble. All thoughts of the Sonata or anything else went out of my head.
I work as an ICU RN and needed a comfortable yet mpg savvy commuter vehicle. The Fusion is definitely comfy-especially compared to the broke down 2005 Buick Lacrosse I was beating on beforehand that would leave my ass and feet numb after the 1.5+ hour commute I have. However, I have been disappointed with the gas mileage so far...I don't think a big boat v6 LaCrosse should be doing better than a modern v4 midsize sedan. The car currently has 4900 miles on it so I am hoping that it breaks in better over time to do better than the 26 mpg I have so far.
I work in the medical field. Married. Three kids with number four on the way. I don't have plans to do much in the way of customizations or aftermarket non-OEM replacements for my vehicles. I once had an Oldsmobile Alero I loved to death (still runs, gave it to my sister) but I ruined it trying to put aftermarket parts in. Just became too much trouble after time and I would still be driving it today if I had just left it alone with the stock parts and kept it maintained the way I was.
Happy to be here and looking forward to exploring and learning more about our cars!
