Lightbulb New guy!

Hello there,

currently driving a Mazda 3 2006 I've so far loved the car! But I ran into an issue lately.
I've been trying to find a good place to ask for advice, and this seems to be the right spot.
About a month ago a bracket for my steering pump broke, we eventually figured it out back at home and fixed the issue. But now when I turn on the car and try to accelerate the car won't give any gas! It stays at 1000 RPM, I and my father did some testing, trying to figure out the problem. According to the computer we plugged in the car, the pedal is sending the signal to accelerate to the car, so the pedal doesn't seem to be the issue. Apparently, it's a voltage problem with the throttle actuator (It gives me a P2101 error code). So we aren't sure if its a cable connecting to it or the actuator itself, we tried reconnecting and cleaning the cables but nothing has worked so far. Anyone have any ideas?
