Hey all. I got the 2014 Mazda3 sGT Hatchback a few months ago. I love it and think it has serious modification potential that is being overlooked by most (did you know the infotainment system which has access to all sorts of electronics including a wifi adapter and engine stats has a open source linux based operating system and they're encouraging people to come out with 3rd party apps?).

I've been doing a little bit of this and that to her (mostly basic Corksport upgrades) but I'm finding myself impatient in waiting for the aftermarket to offer the parts I'd like. I've decided to check out the forums to find more information. My main reason for making an account is to learn more about what parts from other models and generations are compatible with the 3rd gens. I'm mostly interested in brakes and in chassis stiffening elements.

I'm originally from Colorado but I've been in Florida for several years now. I'm a professional gunsmith in the process of opening a shop. This is the second car I've owned, the first being an 8th gen Mitsubishi Galant LS. After many years of dutiful service and a few mods, I traded her in for the Mazda. Other than messing around with the Galant a bit, I have VERY little experience with auto mechanics/modding.
