Hello from a cold MI winter...and a few questions :)

Hello all. I'm glad I found these forums the other day. Long story short, I'm looking at buying my first Mazda. Im looking at a 2006 Mazda 3 that has 120,000 miles on it. I was hoping to get some info on what I should be looking for in a used Mazda with those miles on it. I've been lurking around your forums the past few days reading some of the great stories some have shared about their Mazdas and have read really good things online about the reliability of them. Just didnt know if there was a specific problem or issue I should look for. Thanks for having what seems to be a great community here, has actually been helpful so far

Welcome to M3f. If you search you'll find plenty of topics about what to look for.
The main thing is to look for rust, unless that doesn't bother you.

Rust, for sure. I wouldn't pay more than $5K, either.

I've been searching the forums and online for stuff to keep an eye out for. A little rust doesnt bother me, considering its a 2006 and the price is right. More worried about tranny and engine work. But its hard to find a review of someone not liking the m3

Make sure your foot fits on the accelerator pedal and doesn't hit the brake pedal. I have a designated pair of shoes I have to use in the 3. Huge PITA. I test drove it with the designated shoes.
