Just Passing By, Mz3 still running

Randomly wanted to announce:

2009 Mazda 3 2.0L ATX with Speed3 turbo (8psi w/ wg cracked open), water/meth injection, and Megasquirt EMS, stock internals, still running. *knocks on wood

Also, suspension (Hotchkis front/rear sways, Eibach Sportline springs) need tightening somewhere(s) because everything pops and clunks. Cranking is a pain sub 40 deg F because MS won't pick up crank signal. Premium gas plus methanol got irritating. MIL lamp forever, sticker years past due. Cat, 2 resonators (Vibrant), and a muffler (Magnaflow) and the exhaust (2.5") is still too loud for the neighbors... I mean, seriously, my exhaust is neck to neck sound suppression...

I'm tired of my fast n furious fantasy from years ago. Should've stopped at the nitrous (NOS Sniper 75 shot w/ progressive controller; removed). I was that AsianNessGT guy trying to make a cheap boost off ebay parts and home depot awhile back. My current turbo set up costs about 1.4k, but it took me 5k to get there...

Now that introductions are over; back to the shadows for another year or two

Ty Tasca. And Phil, I'll probably make a new thread with more recent pics over the holidays. Planning on finally welding the exhaust together instead of band clamps slathered in muffler repair; maybe that'll quiet things down a bit more.

Holiday to-do:
-Weld exhaust*
-Verify Megasquirt wiring*
-Verify wideband controller wiring*
-Trouble shoot crank sensor with oscilloscope (unlikely, I'm lazy...)*
-Fix methanol tank mount (JB Weld + allen wrench mount came apart )*
-Re-tune ems to pass emissions (unlikely...)*
-Re-tighten suspension*
-New brake pads (pay a shop to do that)*
-Flush transmission fluid*
-Change oil/filter (19,500+ miles since last change... I know, I know)*

*Far Cry 4

What?? MY 5 speed atx could not take 5 psi with the same set-up on a 2.3, just about popped 2 transmissions before giving up, maybe the 4 speed auto is more robust?? Sold it all and running a full woods dynotronics n/a tune, not near as much fun as 5 psi

Dynotronics tuned< the best! Vibrant exhaust. MSDS header . Injen CAI . BSD. Gp werks baffle plate. VTCS removed.

AZ-520: Sorry to hear that, but I my 4spd atx held up 75 wet shots of nitrous and now boost. From what I remember on this forum, the 4spd can take a bit more abuse. On the other hand, I intentionally made my setups build power slow; that may have reduced some of the stress on the drivetrain. The progressive controller on the nitrous took 3-4 seconds before spraying the full 75 shot. As for my current turbo setup, the wastegate is always cracked open (extended wg actuator arm) so the boost buildup isn't as quick and at 5 psi I start purging boost from the charge pipe (reversed my nitrous/purge solenoids and the Megasquirt triggers them to dump boost to the atmosphere). Also, most of my pedal to the metal driving was during AutoX; stayed in 2nd gear from start to stop so the tranny never had to shift. (AutoX redneck sensei advised against constant 1st/2nd shifts for my stock tranny.)

I'll start posting back in my old thread to avoid sidetracking the introductions
