LF ENGINE VS L3 ENGINE

Good day ladies and gentlemen. I'm new here and will welcome your remarks and guidance on my problem. I will like to know if i can fit an L3 engine instead of LF engine which is currently my car. I realised that the LF has a VVT sensor on the top of the tuppert cover, which is not there in the L3. What is supposed to be observed if fitting the L3. Will it work the same way as the LF or there's something that has to be done after fitting?
