2012 Skyactiv hypermiling engineer taking fast turns

My last car was a 2003 Mazda Speed Protege. I miss it, but am having fun hypermiling while still enjoying much better handling than I deserve with this fuel efficiency.

How long till new members can post in the main forums?

Until I can, here's the pressing question I joined this forum to ask:

At what temperature is the thermostat supposed to open or what is the specified operating temperature of a 2012 Skyactiv engine?

Mine seems to be running very cold according to my ScanGauge. (168-173 F after a half hour on the highway, about 20 degrees cooler than I expected.) I'd love for it to warm up faster and give more cabin heat. I suspect the thermostat is stuck open but imagine that it's possible that the engine is meant to run colder on account of the high compression ratio.
