Checking In

Recently Purchased a 2007 Mazda3 and have been having some issues.

Dealerships are no help and I'm trying to reach out for any expertise I can get.

I have been having issues (which I believe are related to the power steering recall) but I cannot identify the culprit?

Help?

I will very intermittently get what seems to be a complete electrical failure, radio and dash lights go out, and the ultimate problem is the power steering goes out?

It usually requires a restart to get it back working again. I haven't found any loose connectors and do not have any other issues that I can tell.

Anyone else experience what I am referring to?

Thanks,
yondermeister

Welcome to M3f.
Either a loose battery connection or your battery is on it's way out. Check ON and OFF voltage with a multimeter.

Definitely something battery or alternator related (or both).
Double check battery fluids, and get it to a local advanced/autozone/etc and have them do a battery test.
