Is the fluid red? If so, it is transmission oil.

Now, if it is on the driver side, it is a probably a transmission leak. If it is on the passenger side, probably a power steering leak.

If the fluid is red (put a paper towel down on the spot), then check the transmission gasket for leaks. I'd do this by rubbing a paper towels around it. Then I'd check the transmission cooler lines. Transmission cooler looks like a tuna can.
