Great and useful forum but not much activity?

i've enjoyed my time here searching and browsing for information and stuff, and have learned a lot so far, but am noticing that there isn't a ton of activity on a regular basis? is that normal for this site or am i just used to other car forums i've been on that are usually very busy everyday with updates, reply's and new posts :/

I belong to several car related forums, a few for Mazdas and Mazda3s in particular, and I never see all that much activity; maybe because compared to the larger manufacturers, Mazda doesn't really sell all that many cars here in the States.

I think we're just getting older and moving on to more mature vehicles...

Regardless, I'm keeping my hatchie till the wheels fall off.

Too funny, my wife and I are hitting 60 next year and just ordered a new Mazda3; next year for my 60th birthday I'm going to order a new MX-5.

When I first started on another forum, the activity was high, but as years went on the activity died down. Not much going on there but I still pop in every so often.

Looks like your 'midlife' crisis symptoms are kicking in

Don't worry, mines kick in from time to time. But it's funny sometimes when I see a bland and boring vehicle and I see myself in it. Never imagined that would cross my mind before 2025. I actually went ahead and purchased some swaybars for my 2006 hatchie to make myself snap out of it. Hoping to install them soon.

Probably explains it; I'm old so I only log into my Facebook account once a year or so, whether I need to or not.

Could be the midlife crisis thing but then again...

With the kids going/gone, my wife chucked our third minivan a few years back in favor of a GTI, after not having a van for a few years I bought an old 1999 T&C in creampuff condition last year so we could use it in our annual entry of the Reach the Beach relay here in New Hampshire. With the van in our stable I no longer need a sedan "people hauler" so the Accord is going on the auction block in a few weeks. That said, I don't want to be using a minivan with over 200,000 miles on it as a daily driver, hence the new Miata.

larger or smaller sales shouldnt matter, if the interest is there for any particular car, the people will come, or so you'd think.

moving onto more mature vehicles? Whow...getting older means that we are now smart and secure enough to own fun cars (again) and know not to F*%# them up like too many kids did...lol
