When talking to the boss he said we were looking for a woman; I don't think it has to be though.

It's just... how often do customers prefer to talk to men vs women?
Not very lol

Haha as a customer I'd prefer to speak to someone that knows what they're talking about.

Although I did try to hire a female work-study but the ones that applied were all too dumb so that didn't work out haha

Juan is upset about everyone bashing his car claiming it's a daily.

Yeah...
And?

Doesn't explain why the paint is falling off. If you can't appreciate it, how can someone else? lol my 2c.

"Haters gonna hate" is half the responses.
Sure; but you also don't see anyone jumping to buy it either now do you?

If it sold instantly, then I may keep my mouth shut.
Changes will have to be made to sell that car in its current condition.

He's already made a few posts about people bashing on his price and the condition. It's deserved though, the car isn't in the condition that he thinks it's in.

There are a few people that are telling him like it is though, which is good but of course Juan's cronies come in to talk smack about them. I don't understand the followers he has. Like the time he posted about blacking out his taillights from the inside and he provided a link to M3R and when I looked up the link it was full of potato pictures, vague dialogue, and broken links. When I said it was a bad read he and his blog buddies came after me like I just burned down Rome.

He let stupid kids hype up his terrible workmanship and now he's paying for it. If someone buys it with this price then good for him but it's an insult to try to sell that to people and get mad when people don't like the price.

Now he's trying to tell people why it's in this condition like saying the interior isn't finished because he "was halfway through redoing the interior and lost interest in the vinyl." Why should someone else pay for your lack of detail and work ethic? That's irritating.

It's good, though, that he did say the condition it's in and provide clear photos of the damage and said what it needs. I just think he's in fanboy denial about his stanced show car that's not really a show car that he pumped tons of money into and it came out in worse condition than what his followers would lead him to believe.

Well it is good to see him admit it is indeed far from great condition, but that everything that's shown or stated will never let that car sell.

If he loses the wheels, and just gets some Rotas or some cheap wheels on it, he could likely sell that car for $8k

But there is no way anyone will pay for that condition of a vehicle over 10k. Especially when a showroom vehicle of that year with <10 miles on it is worth less than that, and it's in perfect running condition.

That car has been beaten with a hammer, multiple times.

He does seem to be aware which I do see that, and it's nice to see him see that.
However; these "kids" that are like OMG Y U SELL PERFECTION?!, really are making it all the worse.

Which is why I stopped accepting friend invites on facebook of random Mazda 3 owners that I don't even know.

I don't want a following.

I enjoy my car and I take care of it the way it is; I couldn't give a rats ass about what others think, as it won't sway any decision making of mine.

But if I were to sell it, along with everything I have, it wouldn't be higher than $7k
Which, actually is a hugely fair deal for what you're getting.
Near full interior, 3 sets of wheels + 4 sets of tires, partial safety prepped vehicle, and cool aftermarket parts that people would pay money for.

Difference is; I know what people would actually pay for.
Does it suck to lose hand over fist? Well yes, but if you're unaware modifying a car decreases value even if it is expensive, then you're just acting oblivious.

Look at how cheap race cars are compared to the amount of money put into them.

You can buy actual LeMans race cars for $300k
Those cars have easily over $1m in them

Point is, people gasping over something doesn't push a sale.
Knowing the value well and knowing who to sell it to does.

Kids with cut spring corollas are not a target market.

Yeah I have maybe 20 photos of my car on FB or anywhere on the web, really. I certainly don't mod my car for others opinions, then write up a shitty how-to and eventually show that my car has so many faults that it isn't worth what I'm asking.

Juan needs to realize that the kids trying to boost up his sell are making it worse for him.

I don't understand how all of a sudden he realizes the 3 is too small and he needs a bigger car. Mazda 3's are not that big in size. I don't even think the 1st gen 3's should have been 4 door, the sedans have really small back seat areas.

But he dumped how much money into it, and did all those modifications to realize that he needs more space?

A lot of people though buy cars and then upsize.

What I don't understand is why that happens as often as it does though.
What's the change in pace? That's what I don't get.

And even so, why is he already mentioning a "VIP" build?

What exactly are you upsizing to that isn't an SUV, that is much larger. But I'm pretty sure he's referring to a full-size saloon.

But ... if you're buying another car to fit the family, why put it right back to the point of uselessness that the current car is in?

Why waste the money I guess is what I'm getting at.
If you need to size up for whatever family reason, by all means.
But to dump all of that money back into it just for show?

Put the money towards the kid's college education...
Home renovations; whatever, anything. Anything besides an extremely wasteful hobby.

The way I'm looking at it, is you're making the move to a larger vehicle because you have your family in mind; and he's mentioned that's why. He wants his family to keep going to car shows.
Great.

But what about everyone's future?
Buy a larger car, go to shows; you don't have to enter it. You can go as a spectator, and get equal enjoyment.

And then not have to worry about an entire fender falling off from that one pothole on that one road back home each time... lol

Maybe we're just thinking to much.
But if I had a family, I know I wouldn't be dumping half the money I continue to make into my hobby.

Then again, maybe he makes multiple times more money than I do.
I just hope if you care that much to spend time with your family as they grow up, that you're taking care of their future simultaneously. Not just living in the moment.

His internet following is definitely holding him back. At least from an outside point of view.
I don't know him personally, have never met him. Bryan (Color0) said he's extremely nice, and I don't doubt it, I'm sure he is.
But the way Juan is putting the sale out there, doesn't make sense to me.

We're definitely thinking too much. Like we have families to care for and care about us

I did see the VIP mention, and I don't understand that, but like you say maybe he works for the cartel and makes tons of money.Maybe the 3 was just the work up to some saloon VIP crazy build and will have much better workmanship.

But then he says he wants someone to buy the 3 to get the VIP build going, whereas I would think if he has enough money to get all these wheels and make super custom LED taillights and a clinched kit he could just keep the 3 and get a bigger, family-oriented vehicle.

I don't know, it's the internet and I'm wrong no matter what haha
