Not as active as they were when I first joined, but very far from dead. Two years ago, yeah, was pretty much dead, but a couple people have been working hard to pump some life back into it :P

A lot of people have worked hard to keep the faith, and we've had a surge of new members. I suspect as they become more senior members they'll start contributing and things will pick up as time goes on.

A year ago, spambots outnumbered legitimate traffic 100-1. Those were sad times.

2007 Phantom Purple hatch; JBR RMM/busihgs/shifter plate, Koni STR.t's, Michelin Pilot AS3's, Spin on oil filter conversion, stubby antenna, Kenwood KDC-X997 hu + Sundown Audio SA12 + Infinity speakers + JL 320.4 amp, debadged and door edge guards removed, Lamin-X + indy fog mod, aluminum AC knobs, DIY SRI, TRS 5000K HIDs, more coming.

Yea some sections more active than others.

Same thing happened to other forums I was part of (my350z) was alive and well, and then everyone sold or traded in or moved on.

I say that it is on it's death bed. But in defense, most forums are on their death beds thanks to Facebook. I miss the forum days back in 2006-2010. Those were the glory days.

Defiantly slow but I don't think they are dead.

Hopefully they get a bit more lively. Like mentioned above Facebook is to blame. I would much rather post on here then on FB bc I don't think the average person cares about how we love our cars.

Unless every person on your friend list is a car guy/girl they don't care. My sister told me the other day that half the stuff I post on FB is car stuff or about work. To her a car is an appliance, something you need and thats it. No one falls in love with a dishwasher so why do people love cars?

Post about car stuff on a car forum.

dead, no.
slow, yes.

not what it was 3 years ago.
But hell of a lot better than it was 2 years ago.

Half of the damage though you can blame a very specific 2.5L gen2 owner that went turbocharged and... caused all of the turbo guys to leave because of his annoying attitude, who is still around on the facebook m3r page and the m3r forums with said strong attitude.

Since not many people are buying gen1s there isn't much reason really when you have the sister forum M3R going, which... to me is almost too active, it's hard to keep up with anything, but is also stuffed everywhere with useless chatter, at least in my opinion it is; just hard to find stuff between all of the random chatter (even among the chat box)
