Vote on my next mod; my car is in your hands

My mods to date are in my signature. I'm leaning more towards things that make the car more comfortable/usable rather than looking for performance right now since I'm commuting every day in this car and hauling around my todler.

Budget is $200

1. HID's - I'm leaning heavily towards TRS's H7 kit with 5000K bulbs. More light, better night time visibility, and the general consensus is TRS makes an excellent product that won't give me any problems. I'll skip the clear lenses for the time being, due to cost and not really wanting to open up my headlights right now.

2. Paint my wheels - To do it right, with Duplicolor Bronze wheel paint + matte clear, it won't suck up the whole budget but I'm not planning a cheap spray and pray job either. With masking materials, sand paper, primer, paint, and clear this will take some money but I think bronze wheels on a Phantom Purple car will look awesome.

3. Cheap subwoofer - IF I got this route, I'd probably build my own fiberglass box to fill the jack compartment, drop in a little 8" subwoofer, and hide the amp in the tool tray. I haven't worked with fiberglass before, but my friend certainly has spent enough time fooling with this kind of thing he could lend a hand building the enclosure, and I can handle the wiring. I'm just not sure I could get this done without really cheap/crappy components for under $200 including materials to build the enclosure. Anyone else DIY'd this and has an idea about cost? I'm not looking to shatter glass, just add on to the Eonon D5151 and stock speakers.

4. Something else I haven't considered.

Like I said, I want something I'll use and enjoy that won't compromise the car as a daily driver.

2007 Phantom Purple hatch; JBR RMM/busihgs/shifter plate, Koni STR.t's, Michelin Pilot AS3's, Spin on oil filter conversion, stubby antenna, Kenwood KDC-X997 hu + Sundown Audio SA12 + Infinity speakers + JL 320.4 amp, debadged and door edge guards removed, Lamin-X + indy fog mod, aluminum AC knobs, DIY SRI, TRS 5000K HIDs, more coming.

Good luck with whatever you choose. I'd say rims or ralliarmour mudflaps.

Edit: autocowrecked mudflaps to mufflers. Wth?

I'd say for $200 you should be able to do both HIDs and a cheap sub. Maybe slightly more than $200... say $250 tops. Esp for such a small sub.

TRS runs about $150 plus shipping. Ain't cheap, but I drive at night too much to have to worry about crappy bulbs or iffy ballasts.

Y'know, it actually occurs to me that I might have paid around that much for my KDW kit. One of the lights was flickering for the last couple of months, but other than that it was probably about 100k miles of awesome with those things.

And that's why I'm willing to spend that much. If I go HID's, that's where I'm spending my money. If I'm overcome with the urge to pop open the headlight housing later, it'll be for clear lenses/reflector mods/ and paint the chrome rings black but I'm not looking for all that right now.

Any other opinions since that's 2 for HID?

Depending on how much you use your rear wiper, you could delete that for under 5 bucks. Makes the rear look much cleaner in my opinion.

Use my rear wiper every time it rains.....which is all the time here in Louisiana.

I took mine off yesterday, and it rained all day today. It's honestly not that bad. (I used mine a lot too.) I imagine that it would almost be good as new with some rainx on the glass.
