06 mazda 3 key fob issue

so anyway I checked all fuses, under glove box and the harnesses seem plugged in, but when the driver door opens, no door ajar light lit on dash, and the lights inside dont come on which will not allow us to program remote because the car thinks the door is always shut, power locks work, is this a problem with the door latch/switch held on by the 3 screws?

Kinda sounds that way. Will opening any of the doors cause the courtesy lights to come on? If not, I highly doubt all the switches/sensors went bad at the same time.

2007 Phantom Purple hatch; JBR RMM/busihgs/shifter plate, Koni STR.t's, Michelin Pilot AS3's, Spin on oil filter conversion, stubby antenna, Kenwood KDC-X997 hu + Sundown Audio SA12 + Infinity speakers + JL 320.4 amp, debadged and door edge guards removed, Lamin-X + indy fog mod, aluminum AC knobs, DIY SRI, TRS 5000K HIDs, more coming.
