Freeway Accident

So I am on the freeway after a day at work, heading to Autozone to get oil and a new filter so I can do an oil change and then wash my sweet sweet Mazda. But then a truck driver decides to cut me off, hitting the car in his original lane, and swerving into me. As I tried to avoid him, his front left hit my front right, causing me to spin out. I tried to hold and steer the wheel to straighten out but it was of no use. I continued to spin and before I know it, I'm going head first into the center divider. After hitting that, the airbag deployed, slightly burning and scraping my arm and causing a ringing sound in my ear. I spun one last 180 degrees finally coming to a stop. The engine was smoking into the car so I quickly got out. My front end was wrecked. The only thing I was pissed about was the fact that the previous day, I just bought and installed 4 brand new tires and about 6 months ago I installed new Koni Str.t shocks and struts, along with a new front axle. The guy who caused the accident hit two other cars, causing three people to be sent to the hospital via ambulance. 5 minutes after the crash, the guy who caused it drove off. Now I'm looking for a replacement Mazda 3. Twas a sad sad day.

So sorry to hear that man.... Hope u find a replacement quickly... I nearly became a cropper today as well... Driving along and noticed an 18 wheeler was barreling down on me from behind... I dont think he was paying attention (probably on the phone) Nowhere to go for me or him... All i could do was watch in the rear view mirror... When he came to his senses he slammed on his brakes and served repeatedly left to right scaring the life out of the people around him! And narrowly missing me... I sware he wasnt half a car behind.... When the highway opened up the freaking idiot then pulled up beside me lol u want to race! Hahaha I just dont get it....

Dang, that sounds like a close one. Good thing nothing happened, but ya, people on the road can be total idiots at times. I'm getting a price tomorrow from my insurance, so once I find out how much I get I'll decide what I can afford. But I've found some good deals nearby for a 2008 (mine was 2007). So I'll try to low ball them with cash money.

And the next thing I'd have done is look for identifying numbers on his truck/trailer, and call his company. Called once to report a near miss from a driver, and ended up talking to the owner of the company. He appreciated the call, and asked if I was okay. Sounded like his driver was going to be doing some explaining.

Glad both of you are okay.

Ya, it's hard to try to find any identifying details when you're worried about protecting your car. But now I have a conundrum... I love how the 2007-2009 M3's look, for some reason those body styles are just great... But I have a good deal on a fully loaded 2010 model. The newer styles look good, but to me just don't seem like M3's that I know and love. Anyone have opinions on how the newer models look? I can only find 2007-2009 models nearby with over 100,000 miles, whereas my wrecked one had less than 70,000.

I prefer the looks of the first gen,
But the second gens are more refined, better handling, and more reliable. Go with the second gen if its lower miles/better condition.

lol just about EVERYONE has an opinion on this and it is pretty divided lol.... about 50/50 I think. I've seen some gen2s that were heavily modified that I kinda liked, but In general I would never buy one just because of how it looks.
