Modify the Sport or wait for Mustang?

Hey guys, question do ya.

So I have always wanted a Mustang GT as my affordable dream car. My plan was to leave the Fusion basically stock and eventually in 2-4 years pick up a used 2011-2013 GT.

But I got thinking the other day, I don't really street race and since our town doesn't have a track I never do track days and I've done auto cross once into old Cougar which was built up and perfect for auto cross.

Now I'm considering not getting a Mustang at all, instead going a little further with my Fusion Sport mods. (Suspension, wheels, and a few bolt on's)

Thoughts?

No. But, in all fairness, this is the Lounge.

Yeah, didn't know where to put it.

And by no means try to make the Fusion as fast a a Mustang. Just a few things to make it a bit more fun and look better.

Just do whatever it takes to be happy w/ the car. It'll never come close to a new mustang. No matter how many thousands you spend..trust me I learned this the hard way.

A bunch of stickers of things you dont have, a single exhaust with a big fart can, A aluminum rear spoiler, and steelies... J/K...

A good set of springs, some HID's, A good exhaust, and maybe some wheels. Those were my first mods...

Mods... Steeda Intake, Steeda 93-100 octane tune, Steeda Springs, Steeda STB, Steeda Hood Struts, Steeda Motor Mount, Steeda TB Spacer, Whiteline rear swaybar, 19x8.5 Mustang GT wheels, Magnaflow catback, Upper and lower 6,00k HID's, and much more...

Lmao yeah I went down that road with my old Cougar. I just went too far so it was basically a daily driver that was way too loud and rough.

Stickers and fart cannon. Check.

Lol

Yeah I guess I just don't want to go too far with mods and I don't want the car to be uncomfortable.

I think I learned my lesson with the old car though. I'd like to do a set of springs and wheel and maybe mufflers for better sound without it being too loud.

I think the mod you will be happiest with are springs. The ride is still good but you get less body roll and it looks super sexy even with stock wheels.

Thanks man. I was going to start with replacing the stock mufflers with MRT ones and some lowering springs.

Do the sports or AWD fusions have anything different as far as lowering springs? I noticed there is V6 specific ones. I assume these are for both 3L and 3.5L?
