Official Home Theater Discussion Thread!

So I know there are more than a few people here into home theater stuff, and probably a lot of others who would be interested in learning more, so why not start a thread where we can talk about all that kind of stuff?

I'll kick it off with my current equipment. It's pretty modest and I've kind of been piecing my system together for years, but it works for me.

Receiver: Pioneer VSX-1016TXV. HDMI is pass-through only, which of course is a joke.
TV: Vizio 47" LCD with smart dimming, true black technology and a bunch of other stuff. Thing's actually a really good value--it's been mistaken for plasma, since the blacks are so good.
Main speakers: Polk RTi6, bi-amped
Center: Polk CSi5
Surrounds: Denon bookshelf speakers of some sort. No idea what model, but they're pretty good.
Sub: Polk PSW303 8-inch 100w powered sub. Not by far the biggest, baddest sub out there, but when you live in an apartment it's better not to be pissing off the neighbors every time you watch a movie or play CoD.
Blu-ray: Sony BDP-S350. Few years old but still going strong.
Game systems: Xbox 360, PS2, NES.

Shitty pic:

Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR609 - awesome unit
TV: Samsung 3D 55" 6420 series - one of the best pictures I've seen from an LED LCD
Main speakers: Definitive ProCinema 600 - Was a package deal, but sounds absolutely amazing
Center: Definitive ProCinema 600
Surrounds: Definitive ProCinema 600
Sub: Definitive ProCinema 600 - 250w with 1 - 8" speaker and 1 - 8" passive radiator
Blu-ray: Sony PS3
Game systems: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii.

Overall, it works great. I wish I had a little bigger speakers, like the Definitive ProCinema 1000 stuff, but this is what I could afford. Now that I have a bigger place, the sound is lacking at times.

Oh yes, mine's also using an LED backlight. Grid-type with smart dimming zones.

Which Samsung?

I'm assuming John's otherwise you'd still have it.

Yes, John's. Something about it got FUBAR'd or I would probably still have it. Nice set, if you don't mind having a viewing angle of (realistically) about 30 degrees. Haha.
