Geico

Anyone have any expirence with Geico? I am looking at insurance rates and they are coming up quite low compared to everyone else for identical coverage, just wondering if claims are a massive B!t$# with them or if they are great but just coming up cheaper?

I've never really heard any complaints about Geico. Two people that had Geico caused accidents involving my wife. Geico paid the claims quickly and without a bunch of hassle. Much better than my dealings with State Farm and Allstate.

Have any loophole for USAA eligibility? I'd recommend them over any other company.

I doubt it, the only military relationships I have are friends and I doubt that would make me elgible.

This. Requires a parent, spouse, or military service.

Otherwise, I haven't heard anything bad about Gieco. My fiancee used to have it until she switched to my USAA policy.

Kenny, I currently have Geico and I've been very impressed. Rates are incredibly low and dropping all the time. I was involved in an accident and they were excellent, I've never been treated better by an insurance company. And I've tried more than a few. 100% recommendation from me.

I'll share my experience.
A few years ago when my car was hit while parked I filed a claim. I took it in so they could assess the damage and the verdict was that I was lying. The bumper wasn't damaged at all so I'm trying to explain how could I damage the fender without damaging the bumper. The headlight was also fine.
The agent was saying that it couldn't be a coincidence that my deductible was "suspiciously low" and I was filing a claim only a month after signing with them.
Anyways after about a month of going back and forth they finally decided to fix it. What a headache that was. Lucky for me I had lots of pictures before the hit and run happened.
I dropped them as soon as they fixed it.

If everything is under control, you're not going fast enough.

Yikes, that sounds like a nightmare. I had that same problem with Metlife one time. But I stuck it out with them since I kinda saw their point after a while, if the damage was there previously, why should they have to fix it. That was their worry and I can't blame em for doing their job. It was just a pain in the a$$ to explain that it really did happen that quickly and I wasn't just trying to cheat them.

Thanks, I'll have to keep that in mind. The more I search for rates the more and more I notice how cheap they really are. And fun fact, did you know that Geico stands for Government Employees Insurance COmpany? Learned that one recently too.

Still have not made up my mind on who I want to go with, still waiting for Metlife to realize that yes the Focus ST does exist, right now they are telling me it doesn't.

Back in the day they sent out a questionnaire to all their customers. One of my coworkers answered yes to the “Do you own a radar detector?” question. They dropped him.
Around that time (mid 90s) they were also buying radar guns for police departments.
Because of those two things I have never considered going to them. They are in the insurance business NOT law enforcement.

They have been great to me. I have both bikes and my renters insurance with them as well. The ex had a slight problem with one of the agents not getting back to her but that was corrected with a polite call to another agent.
