Re: Election 2012

I actually like both Obama and Romney, but find them to be rather uninspiring as leaders. In other words, bleh. Really, the only elections that matter are the Congressional elections. If some moderates aren't put into office, it's not like Congress will ever actually pass any worthwhile legislation for Obama or Romney to sign. Both candidates' foreign policies promise to be nearly identical.

Re: Election 2012

one of the funnier comments ive heard regarding this whole election so far was from a guy who claims to be a democrat, commenting on all the political ads regarding Romney and off shore bank accts etc etc

"i love how my party is trying to make everyone feel its more important what Romney is doing with his own money, than what Obama is going to do with MY money"

regardless of who you like or whatever party you are voting for, you gotta admit the statement is kinda comical

I still think you guys (and Canada to a minor extent because of our close ties to America) are fucked either way.

I fail to see how anyone other than an Obama hater can "like" Romney. Who the hell is the guy? Do you have any idea what he believes? I don't.

Just one of many articles that actually goes into his "private" life. His campaign surely is trying to not let anyone know him...

As for what he "believes", he believes in what every politician believes in. Whatever might help him get elected.

Re: Election 2012

Why should I give a rat's ass if he's a nice guy in person?

And you seriously believe he's just like every other politician regarding his beliefs? There aren't just a few minor issues he's done a 180 on.

I didn't say you had to. I just said I "liked" both of them. Not necessarily as a President, rather I harness no hatred for either one unlike 90% of our nation.

I would say he's like most politicians, yes. Sorry, Obama hasn't stuck fast to his greater vision that he campaigned for, and you can't just blame that on the opposition totally stonewalling him.

I must admit, I'm just tiring of loud mouths who actually think one or the other is truly the answer to our problems. Neither of them have the stones to propose what needs to be done, much less sign their name on it.

Re: Election 2012

I doubt very much if anyone thinks any president is the answer to our problems (well anyone with half a brain anyway). As always, it's a choice between 2 candidates mainly beholden to corporate money who differ on relatively few points.
