Moving south... Maybe... Hopefully.

For those of you who don't know my name is Jorge. I am 18 and will be 19 in May I currently live in the Chicago land area and I really don't like it. Yes, it has some benefits and at times it can be fun but, I want a change a BIG change. At the moment I am considering moving to Arizona. Anyone have experience living there any tips for such a huge change?

Thanks,

ModernTek

My boss used to live there, and all he said it was flat and hot.

Texas is good, it is hot most of the time, but unlike Arizona it is muggy here. Idk I have gotten used to the very strange weather here. It never wants to make up its mind. We will get to 80 in winter then the next day will be 30 then back up to 70s its an odd state

Sounds like Chicago... Drives me crazy! One day it'll be snowing the next 60s-70s.

Are you going to school or are you going to be looking for work? AZ got slammed by the real estate debacle, but, from what I've read, non-construction employment is actually doing quite well.

I've enjoyed my time in AZ, mainly around Parker/Havasu.

I'm going to school but, will be working. Luckily for me I most likely will not have to find a job. My current employer has offered to transfer me to one of the AZ locations.

How is the car scene in AZ?

Go anywhere that doesn't have winter...

Phoenix is a place i'd love to live if I could. Hot and dry almost all the time.

This is the plan! I hate winter... yeah the snow looks nice when it's coming down for the first time but, afterwards it's just a PITA. If I want to see snow I'll fly back for a weekend or something.

Or not...
Sunny Florida is the place for lots of sun shine. Less than an hour from anywhere and you are looking at bikini's. All year!!!!!
Great schools and haven't seen snow sense I moved here in 1986. Probably before you were born
