AIRSOFT guns anyone play?

Ok looking at a Tokyo Marui P90 or an echo1 p90. I want to teach my son how to shoot and use it for some fun. (who am i kidding its for me ) I want to upgrade to a 450fps kit (350+fps stock) or similar (if they make it) also for some garden critters that I need to pursuede to leave. Can't use a 22 as our houses are on top of each other. I am figuring 60+ rounds in its a$$ they might get the hint and leave.

Does someone own one of these or have any tips on upgrading them. They look pretty much like an electric motor that recoils a spring? or are these actually air guns? I have a co2 old school pellet gun but one by one have to reload etc. Kinda boring Also jersey needs a gun permit to even own a pellet gun (dont need the hassle) but an airsoft gun you dont. Go figure?? Also is there any sort of aluminum shot or copper shot? I know I can sink a pellet into a piece of wood with the co2 pellet gun, but the pellets they sell for these guns look like plastic? I went to sporting goods store clerk was useless.

Any help from someone who plays. In essence I want to buy or modify an airsoft for the most amount of fps close range but still easy to handle so no snyper rifles or ak's or m16's I want compact and rapid fire. That is why I am looking at the p90.

Are you serious? A permit just to own, boy would I have problems. All we need is to have our records pulled to show that we haven't had a criminal background or are on a list stating that mentally we can't handle it. Our permits are for conceal carry and certain types of firearms. I like shooting rifles, shotguns, bows, cannons, or pistols. I am dying to try a crossbow, can't until we get a target that can handle the force of the poundage though. Our 4-H club got a air pistol, haven't had the opportunity to try that yet, but I know I will later this month. I am one of the archery instructors. Never shot airsoft. I thought that I saw a re-loader for the CO2 pellets at Walmart a while back. It was a cylinder that somehow attached to the top of the barrel. Do you have a Bass Pro Shop close by, they can help you with what is available locally for you. That is one store I can spend time and money in very easily.

Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected? Why are a wise man and a wise guy opposites? Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway ?

What kind of garden pests? Copperhead snakes? Moles/voles? Garter snakes? Black snakes? Corn snakes? Deer? Bobcats? Bear? Rabbits? Cats? Hawks? Birds? Hey, what can I say, I have had to deal with a few extra paws/claws in my gardens.

Gotta Love Virginia's Conceal and Carry permit...

Re: AIRSOFT guns anyone play?

Various wildlife called my yard home because they can live in safety here.

Out of all the animals I could help you directly with, ground hogs aren't one of them. The only ground hogs I have seen were on TV or in pictures. I think what I would say is, don't let it see it's shadow or whatever it is that gives the longer winter.

But any animal is looking for 2 things, food and a safe place to live. You take one of the two away and the animal will leave looking for it elsewhere. Since they are herbivores, look to see what they are munching on in your backyard and spray it with hotsauce. It won't hurt them but they will think it could. This breaks the feeling of safety and safe food in the area.

You could also check with your local Extension Office for more specific ideas to relocate it. This may be the quickest way. Most areas have volunteers who work with local wildlife and they can help.

Hope this helps you. Just remember, don't let it see it's shadow.
