what type of drawing technique is this???

so i saw this picture a while back and thought it would be awesome to try. i kinda wanna do it with the mazda m, and wanna see if there is any tutorials online on how to do them. only problem is, idk what its called? any ideas?

That's a good question. I mean technically it looks like a pencil drawing but the picture isn't clear...the collage style with the nittany lion logo is what you are asking about though. my best advice would be to poke around on deviant art. www.deviantart.com

looks like pen + ink to me.


you do realize its basically a mural of all things Penn State, composed within the larger logo of the Lion, right? thats not just something you "try" to do...

[/quote]yes i know what it is im not blind i was asking if that specific type of thing has a name. i know its pen, and i know its all penn state, but the whole collage thing idk what to call it.

its a giant doodle and its in pen. if your a doodler just make a basic outline in pencil and just start doodling in pen, car stuff, gears, wheels, tires, emblems, names, numbers, dates of famous mazda events. Then fill in the field with misc stuff. (grass, traffic cones, etc)When all said and done erase the light pencil mark and your done. just take it day by day and doodle something about your car for a few weeks and then your done.

i was either gonna do that or maybe do it on the computer with clip art and then fill it in.

i guess there isnt a specific name for it... lol
