Rolled over 100k yesterday.....

Well, I'm proud to say I went over 100k on my Mazda 3. It was pretty joyous. The 3 has officially outlived my previous car which was pronounced dead at 94k. If it makes it to 114k it will be the highest mileage vehicle I have ever owned.

I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the 3. It hasn't really caused me any issues. The thing just works. I'm thinking of sending it in to a detail shop to have the exterior and interior done, and while they're at it to touch up the hood (stone chips).

Anything else I should do? Only things on my list are brakepads and engine coolant.

07 Mazda 3 GT... Zoom zoom!

Like I said before... I'm not sure if I want to be a rider. If I ever do decide to do it, I will be starting small! lol

If it doesn't make it to 114k you are doing something wrong. I've owned quite a few vehicles 160-220k miles and they were still reliable when I got rid of them. A 3 should easily hit 190k +

lol...my brother-in-law is driving one of my old cars. 240,000 miles and he drives it every day in Atlanta traffic. Paint is in pretty bad shape but he said he can still get 3000 miles between oil changes without adding oil and he's got ice cold air.

100k km lol

I think part of the problem is the first two cars were domestic. The 114k one was a 98 Cavalier, and the 94k one was a 2002 Olds Alero.

The Cavalier admittedly I could have fixed and kept driving. I just didn't want to replace the AC, Shocks, and fix an engine gasket leak.

The Alero was toast. It needed a new transmission, lower intake manifold gasket, window regulator, suspension, starter, rear bumper cover, and that's all I can remember off the top of my head. I know for a fact it had other issues.

My hope is for the 3 to hit 250k
