Before smartphones, what was your most/least favorite mobile phone?

Before the iPhone and Android devices, when we had "dumbphones" a.k.a. "feature phones," what were you favorites? Which ones were you happy to get rid of?

Awesome

Sony Ericsson T616: compact for its time, very nicely styled, killer Bluetooth

Sony Ericsson K790a: (still have this one) everything I liked about the T616, only better; still the best camera I've ever had in a phone; 007 rocked the international version, the K800i, in "Casino Royale"

Meh

Sony Ericsson W810i: like the T616 and all its goodness, all grown up; good camera (2 MP, a lot for the time, and auto-focus); unstable firmware; Walkman feature unstable when playing AAC files

Nokia E50: interesting styling; built like a tank (steel body); incredible reception and call quality; UI clunky and slow, worked and looked like Windows 3.1; display was too small for the resolution

DIAF

Motorola V551: reception and call quality were awesome; frequent white screens of death; crippled Bluetooth that refused to work right (if at all); lots of cross talk... I must've exchanged that POS 5 times in my first month with Cingular

Sony Ericsson S710a: cool swivel design and breakthrough camera marred by the slowest UI on Earth... too slow to capture a decent picture in time

FYI, I've been on AT&T > Cingular > AT&T for 10 years now. I was a new phone addict, buying new unlocked phones almost every year. If I bought one with a contract, I would get it unlocked and debranded ASAP. I've had a lot of phones, but these stand out, for good or for bad.

Sony Ericsson k750. I loved the camera (2.0mp was ballin' back in the days), and the flash on that thing was brighter than most of my flashlights. It even gives you the option of using the flash as a light!

And of course, battery that lasted 5days until the next charge...

Re: Before smartphones, what was your most/least favorite mobile phone?

I think to date my favorite regular no frills phone was my motorola i860 when I was still with nextel. It was the first thin flip phone they offered (hell it might have been their tiniest phone to date). No camera, no color screen..... pretty much it made phone calls. Anyway it was built like a rock and you could get super cheap exchangeable front/back plates in case it got scratched up. Worked great.

Don't mind the picture, this is the only shot I could find of the freaking thing. lol

I also had a v551 once I switched to cingulair but never really liked that phone. Swapped out for a v3 razr and greatly enjoyed it.

I had a Nokia phone first when I was 16. got it for my birthday.
it was simple... barely had texting... but got the job done.

I freaking loved this phone: Motorola e318
It had seperate ring tones and text tones, quick with texting, awesome colors... it was pretty awesome.

and this one (even though I went through 11 of them): LG EnV
music, music as ringtones, texting, tons of games... just a fun phone!

now I has the iPhone 3GS.

Loved my Casio Boulder. I'm actually thinking about going back to that. It held up through everything, I don't know how many times I dropped it, kicked it, threw it, submerged it in water.. it was awesome!

I have no Fusion. I have a Miata.

I need a new sig.

Loudest ring tone to date. One of my roommate in college had the phone and he woked up the entire hall on a daily basis. Shit was like a fire alarm.

LG Voyager was by far one of the best pre-smartphones
