VZW iPhone

If there's a thread on the verizon i phone let me know and I'll delete this one. I'm looking for info on release (I think Feb 3rd) and pricing. I hear verizon may have a small discount for exisiting customers? It seems on their site they will only sell at full retail price if you don't have an upgrade available. Better off just waiting for iphone 5? I don't know much about this but I'm sick of my POS blackberry so I'm interested to hear what you geeks know about this stuff?

Re: VZW iPhone

Husband and I are getting the Iphone in October when t-mobile contract is up. I have discount with verizon thru work so we might go with verizon but we he had AT&T before and loved them. Its gonna come down to who is the most reliable and cheapest but im sure the plans will be the same for both companies. So Verizon it probably will be.

Re: VZW iPhone

check out this article on it.

http://www.engadget.com/apple/verizon-iphone/

The downside is, after finding out some of the details about Verizon's iPhone, it's sounding less and less appealing. Users still won't be able to talk and surf the web at the same time, and the iPhone isn't even going to be running on Verizon's new LTE network. I would suggest waiting until they come out with a better one that at least can work with Verizon's most recent network. Besides, I have my doubts as to whether either of Verizon's networks can handle the load the iPhone will put on it at all.

Phantom3 If you don't have any quams with AT&T, I have a feeling it's still gonna be the better service for the iPhone.

Re: VZW iPhone

good point thank you for sharing, we dont talk much either on the phone and we like that AT&T has the rollover minutes so if we do have a month we talk more we will have that to back up on.

Re: VZW iPhone

Supposedly they've been upgrading the network to handle the additional load. Who knows.

Re: VZW iPhone

I think Feb.3 is the start of the preorder for existing VZW customers with Feb. 10 as the date it hits stores and is shipped out for the preorders.

16gb is $199, 32gb is $299. Your new every 2 credit (if you have it) will be able to be used on it. While it doesn't have the talk and surf feature like AT&T does, the selling point to counter that is it can tether up to 5 devices, but if you decide to make a call while doing so, you'll loose the connection.

I've also seen the crappy VZ software they force on your phone can only be accessed through the app store, so I'll be able to not have a 'shit' folder where I store all those programs I can't delete.
