It's not the worst but when I got the car back, was a rats nest (to me anyway):
Here's the leak from where they broke a bolt off in the hole you put a bolt in to hold the crank in place in the timing cover, we didn't know there was one broken off till we took the timing cover off and saw that it had been punched a hole in the other side causing the oil leak:
And here are some broken bits from transmission:
There were other fails I didn't have pictures of, like the rat nest on my wiring harness from the XFC install that was "professional". The CP-e install was done right by soldering the wire in and taping, etc. Not crimps. Uh, I had no flex pipe in my exhaust. When I had the Vibrant reinstalled because I need it to be more quiet than a 3" straight pipe the exhaust shop stole my cat that came with it and installed one that was the size of my fist, thus reducing exhaust flow. The fuel line they put on when installing the motor was not a fuel line so the gas just ate through it. The oil pan, timing cover and valve cover were not sealed properly (too thin in some spots or not at all). The "professional" re-install of my a-pillar gauges (I had wired them up before the swap so all that needed to be done was to hook up two wires and a boost tube to them up to the correct components) that were just twisted together then electrical taped, my crimps no where to be seen. The drive home my charge pipe popped out of the intercooler because it hadn't been tightened properly, that was an awesome 8 hour trip. The whole trip down to pick the car up and leaving 14 hours after they said it was going to be done after a week of having it (left Houston at 2am to drive back to TN, they did the motor swap in two days when they charged me for 5 days, I saw their calendar dry erase board as we were leaving and my car was scheduled for that Thursday when they had it since Sunday).
Keep in mind this was the same David that ran Mazda3Mods.com back when it was open, had I known he would be doing the work I wouldn't have bought it.
Lesson learned, don't take a short cut, it's not so short 99.9% of the time. Unles I sell my set up then it's that .1%, lol.
