FFC Folding At Home Team

Well I used to have a FMV Performance team going but no one seemed to want to help unless its for their individual sites, so I just took all of my work and changed it to team "Ford Fusion Club"! I have the team currently at 16610 of 187362 with just my laptops work.

You can help in research that is out there to help cure many diseases that are currently death sentences. Want to help out? Go to this site to get an optimised version of the software (100% virus free, I have scanned each file) http://www.evga.com/folding/download.asp Download the file, install it enter a user name and the team name as 178106 and join in the research! More info is below in a post I made a long time ago. Hope to see your name pop up in the contributors soon :P

Quote:
Help cure many diseases such as Alzheimer's, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers with unused computing capabilities. By combining millions of computers unimaginable amounts of data can be processed. There has been many new discoveries that have been a direct result of the research being done on home computers around the world.
Want to learn more? Folding @ Home
Want to join in the research? Download Folding @ Home
I have had this program on my computer for a LONG time now and have never even noticed in a difference in how long it takes to open or run programs. The program runs in the background and takes care of everything. I have also created a team for the Ford Fusion Club to hopefully rally more people to help in the cause. Please download the program, create a user name, and enter in the team number #178106.
EDIT: Right now its listed as FMV Performance as the team name, after the next update it will be changed.

The page was just updated: http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/...teamnum=178106

Think about it, how often are you using only 10% of your processor, this thing only runs on 20% of one core of my processor and look how much I get done.

Re: FFC Folding At Home Team

Had it in the main lounge for a year; not one person added....had it in our lounge ONE DAY, and 2 others added....what does that say about the Mazda drivers VS the Fusion drivers?

Re: FFC Folding At Home Team

:P Yup! I like to know that even though I have no money or time to donate I can at least donate my CPU's time to help out. My favorite times is when they actually run out of work for a week or so because its getting done so fast. That makes my day when I find that out.

Re: FFC Folding At Home Team

I wonder how many watts my computer disperses when running this on both GPU and CPU. My PS is rated at 900w, but I know i'm not at capacity.

I'll say 500w for example. And $.10/kwh from the power company it costs $.05 to run it an hour so, for 8 hours that comes to about $.40 day, ~$12 a month, or $146 a year. Interesting.

now: billet grille | magnaflow catback | sts | street unit dogbone | stb | 6000 k hids | smoked markers | 20% tint | jvc head | infinity components, speaks, subs, amp
soon: rims | springs | rsb | steeda endlinks | h-brace
wishlist: fusionturbos.com turbo kit!!! | coilovers

Re: FFC Folding At Home Team

Seems like a pretty cheap donation.
