Do you acknowledge other Mazda drivers?

I'm just curious but do you wave or thumbs up, give a peace sign or nod, to other Mazda 3 drivers or Mazda owners? I recently was leaving Jamba Juice and this '10 Mazda-3 driver passed me and the passenger smiled and gave me a thumbs up. I thought that was cool. I do feel tempted to give a peace sign or thumbs up to other Mazda 3's I see but when I pass them they look like they would give me a "WTF" look sometimes. I do get compliments now and then from random strangers who are non-Mazda owners on how my car looks cool. I just thought it would be cool to acknowledge fellow owners Just curious to know others experience.

Re: Do you acknowledge other Mazda drivers?

Other Mazda owners? No. As they usually just try and floor it past me for some reason, the funny part is that its usually the 2.0 sedans that do that. But thats Jersey for you.

Occasionally I get comments on the color of my car, thats really it.

Re: Do you acknowledge other Mazda drivers?

Depends on the cars. I don't pay attention to everyday Mazdas (Proteges, Mazda6s, Mazda3 sedans, etc. ) unless they are accessorized. I will give thumbs-up or something if I see another Mazdaspeed3 when I'm driving mine. Same goes for rotary-powered cars when I'm in my RX-7.

I never forget a face, but for you, I'll make an exception!

I wave to other Mazda owners, but only people in MS3s have waved back.

Re: Do you acknowledge other Mazda drivers?

If I end up next to someone driving a 3 at a light or something, I'll glance over at them to see if they're old/young/looking at my car/whatever. But no, I have never done anything like that to other drivers. Most of them are old, or the car isn't modded. I did see a MS3 one day on my way to work. The kid passed me as he was coming up to the red light, and he was staring down my car

There is a fellow forum member I see every once in a while, and we always end up on the same road next to each other. We'll wave to each, then he'll speed off and show off his turbo lol

Re: Do you acknowledge other Mazda drivers?

Coming from the Jeep community, I feel obligated to tell my fellow Mazda drivers whats up. I'm probably getting a card to tell other 3's (the modified ones i've been spotting) to come to the forums and who I am.

No.

Re: Do you acknowledge other Mazda drivers?

i used to throw hawaii's "shaka" to other local 3 owners, but i get looked at all crazy..... never have this problem when I throw up the "V" when i'm in the dub, I always get the two sticks back, 2 totally differecnt scenes even though they both love their cars.

...I'd go lower, but the earth gets in the way...

Re: Do you acknowledge other Mazda drivers?

Not really, but it depends on the situation. In my area of Chicago (Wrigleyville), there are so many 3s (usually driven by guys or girls in our age group that aren't car enthusiasts) that I don't really see the point. I do look for 3s, and do acknowledge them from time to time, but the acknowledgment is rarely returned.
