Re: Anybody know the weight???

hood maybe 40 lbs, trunk lid...you mean for sedan? probably another 40 pounds tops, and each rim and tire (16's right?)...probably about 40 pounds each.

so....40, 40 and 40.

Re: Anybody know the weight???

i dont think you will find a tire weighing under 21 or 22 pounds for a 17" wheel actually to tell you the truth.

Re: Anybody know the weight???

19 lbs is what the stock rim weighs about...so if you mean would you feel a difference on driving, probably not. most tires will weigh like 20lbs maybe a little more or less mine are 21

Re: Anybody know the weight???

I love how my 18x7.5 wheels weigh about the same as the stock 16x6.5 wheels

Re: Anybody know the weight???

They'd of course stay the same, but your going to have more rotational inertia. You might not notice the difference, but your probably going to clock a tenth or two slower in a quarter mile. The real difference is when you plus size by 2 or 3 inches over what you are currently using, even if the weight stays about the same. Lower profile tires almost always weigh more, and the tire weight and the rim weight are pushed out several more inches from the center hub.
