Question for those who are in the Psychological Practice Field or College.

Can a psychologist fail you on your psychological evaluation based on the way you are dressed?

I mean no hard feelings for what I post on this website. Anything I type/write/post/say on this forum is only that of general debate and discussion. I am not biased toward anyone or anything. I am neutral in everything I do on this website. Only those facts that are presented to me sway my thought process and siding of each discussion topic that I post about.

Re: Question for those who are in the Psychological Practice Field or College.

Okay, I am not in the field but was curious about the question. I am going to give you my $.01 worth (which means it is worth almost nothing). If this were part of a job interview and you wore a Nazi Party shirt and armband you could be failed based on that alone (unless you are applying to the nazi party). I thinking more along the lines of governemnt or police line type of work. Now if it was part of an interview and you wore shorts and a t-shirt they might read that you are not serious about the position and disqualfy you based on that. Just my thoughts as a former hiring manager.

i assume you mean POPE or some similar eval...

the short answer is NO, but they will note how you are dressed...so i recommend being dressed in business attire.
it's probably more important to answer the oral questions similarly to the written portion of the exam...they will look for inconstancy in your answers more than anything...
