Actually, I am quite content as to where the gun control is right now. I'd like things to be more lenient, but you can't win them all... and it is more of a state issue than federal. As long as he does not start taking away rights, I am fine on that particular issue.

That's fine for those of use who do not have to put up with the bullshit NYS laws ala Bill Clinton's '94 AWB that considers my little Ruger 10/22 an assualt weapon.

Re: President bows to Japan's Emperor

i never understood the whole gun thing. yea it might be nice to collect them. yea its a good use of time to go out shooting. yeah it sometimes is a good idea to keep a weapon or a few in the house or under your pillow to have some form of security. but what else would you want? to be able to bring a fiveseven w/ you in your purse everywhere you go? im just curious what else someone might want. maybe im just looking seeing what the debate is actually about w/ guns

got over the mod bug finally...just gunna keep this baby in tip-top clean shape

Well that's the thing, I know you are I are on different sides of this kind of thing. I don't know you IRL, however I have no problem with people like yourselves having a weapon and that. Was more or less saying that to be an ass .

The best way I can describe it is like people's fascination/hobby with cars. Do you like cars? Do you like modifying them? Going to meets, track days, etc?

I love cars and I love guns. I love building guns, going shooting (targets, not animals), collecting them, etc.

Different strokes for different folks.

Re: President bows to Japan's Emperor

getting really sidetracked but I suppose the original topic is done.

I have always liked guns myself...I am just glad there are some prohibitions and as long as its not super easy for someone to go buy an AK47 or some anti material rifle that fires depleted uranium rounds.
