Ceiling Speakers

My brother is planning to put speakers in his basement's ceiling. Does anybody here have done that, what brands are good and stuff?

Thanks

Re: Ceiling Speakers

I recommend Polk Audio and usually go for about 120.00 a pair. Asuming that your brother has dropped ceiling the panels can easily be cut to mount the speakers and wiring them is easy as well you can just run the wires right behind the drop ceiling panels. I am thinking about doing the samething as well in my basement.

Power Stop Cross Drilled Rotors with Power Stop ceramic brake pads, Eibach Pro Kit, Eibach Rear Swaybar, SPC Camber Kit, KYB GR-2 shocks and struts, AWR Side Engine Mount, Corksport Rear Motor Mounts, Honda S2000 Antenna, Honda Civic JDM Side Markers, Vibrant Front Strut Bar, Fujita F5 CAI, Advanced Timing Mod, F2 Hi Flo Cat, Mazdaspeed Catback Exhaust, Medieval Pulleys, Mazdaspeed Satin Aluminum Gas Door Lid, Evotion Condenser, Eye Lids, Raven Wing, Open Mouth Grill

Re: Ceiling Speakers

If you go to www.htd.com they had ceiling speaker for under 100.00 a pair.

Re: Ceiling Speakers

+1 on Polks. I had 8" ones in my last house. I used them in the living room for the rear channels because there was no convenient place to put floor speakers. They looked and sounded great.

Re: Ceiling Speakers

Well I think they change up their model numbers quite often. RC80i were the ones I had. They might have newer ones now though.
