Hey guys, I'm doing a paper and it's a compare and contrast on the EVO X and the STI. What do you guys think? Which is better, etc. Input!

Re: Subaru STI vs EVO X

I recommend test driving both cars instead of asking for opinions because you would always get biased answers from everybody.

STi. Not sure why. Bc my friend who owns an STi says Evos are crap. .

Oh and the STi has the sexiest exhaust note EVAR.

Done: Lighted door sills, Fujita F5 CAI, MazdaSpeed3 Exhaust

Re: Subaru STI vs EVO X

He was probably told to write a comparison essay or something of that nature. Our opinions won't matter..go google an old episode of top gear..they will know better than anyone. I know the evo wins the comparison tests all of the time. If I had a choice without ever driving either I'd go w/ the subaru based strictly on looks and the fact that it's a hatch. They both have their strong and weak points but I know the STi is supposed to be like a swiss army knife and the evo is supposed to be like an actual race car.

For those saying I need a better education, its an open writing assignment for composition class at my university lol.

Re: Subaru STI vs EVO X

Pro Sti:
STi has the practicality because of the hatchback, its a solid 2~300 lbs lighter than an EVO X depending on how they are optioned out. The AWD system can be RWD biased vs the EVO X which is FWD biased and can send up to 50% torque to the rear tires. STi is also cheaper with similar options. 6spd vs 5spd with traditional manual.

Pro EVO X:
AYC (Yaw) control, ability to bias torque from one side of the car vs another to help improve turn in and reduce understeer that is so prevalent with most AWD cars. Its part of this reason that despite being a heavier car its steering is so remarkable. The option to have a twin clutch manual, blazingly fast up/down shifts and just incredible performance overall.
