dabears2k....BUSTED!

Please read the following email exchange (from bottom to top). many of you already know to steer clear, but for those like me that held out and gave the benefit of the doubt, beware. i had excellent service from this vendor even during the great GT Spec debacle of 2009. I hate to bad mouth people, but i hate even more to see people get screwed. this is from an email account i made up for this purpose only. enjoy!! (start at the bottom)

Well, I've got 5 unanswered emails in my hotmail sent box that state otherwise, and at least 3 attempts on your website "contact us" email that have been ignored. (not to mention 2 voicemails left on your machine.)
And, thanks for the form, but I'll pass. There's plenty of other vendors that would gladly welcome new business.
Next I guess you're going to tell me that on 8/19, 8/21, 8/25, and 8/28 your email system was out of service.

Keep on truckin'

I have answered each email about HID warranty that I got. It's all based on an RMA that you need to fill out.

Here's the link to the RMA form that I've sent everyone.

no. no. thank you. you really helped me out. i was trying to determine if you had any shred of credibility left.

I don't want to order anything. I just wanted to see if you would answer. Since you never answered my phone calls or emails regarding an HID warranty for the past month and a half, yet you answered a sales inquiry within 2 minutes, i have my verdict.

good luck.

Send me an email with exactly what you want and I will try and get it processed as quickly as possible offline for you.

Thanks

I see there's a message on your website stating there's problems with the webstore. does this mean i can't order anything? I want to order the bracing package and some HIDs.

thanks.

Re: dabears2k....BUSTED!

the best part is that the RMA form is direct from apexcone.  Here's a tip.  go to apexcone.com, then go to ddmtuning.com.  It's the same site, and it's also where you can purchase your DDM HID kits direct from the manufacturer, and for less than DaBears sells them.

I love how he pawns off his warranty issues to the manufacturer.  Obviously the product will make its way to the manufacturer eventually, but the whole point of going through a vendor/distributor is for their customer service, so that you don't have to deal with the manufacturer's warranty process.

Re: dabears2k....BUSTED!

that's the thing that pissed me off. It's not like he was losing any money replacing the ballast under warranty. I mean i would have paid for shipping etc.

No shit. He's even too lazy/stupid to host the PDF on his site!

Re: dabears2k....BUSTED!

I suggest you contact Apexcone/DDMTuning directly. I purchased 7 or 8 HID kits and 2 sets of angel eyes from them directly, and it was a good experience. I'm sure that at the very least, they can sell you just the ballast. Depending on purchase date, they'll likely warranty it.
