5 years down the drain.

5 years. FIVE fucking years of my life wasted on this one bitch. After all I have done for this girl. She breaks up with me for literally no reason. Out of the blue. It's not like we had been fighting or anything. She decides out of literally no where she wants to break up.

Fuck bitches. you think you got the one, and she drops your ass like a hot stone.

This is gonna be a great fucking year. [/sarcasm]

Sorry man. Look at the bright side, if possible. You can move on to better things. I look at it as, if you were with someone for 5 years and didnt marry them, then was it the one?

Re: 5 years down the drain.

Probably hasn't been cheating.

Read an interesting article about breakups and divorces. Typically if there are problems the man will bring them up continuously until he can't stand it any more and then breaksup/divorces the person. Women typically bring up the problems and then if they feel they can't get resolution will let them be dormant for a period of time before getting frusterated and breakup/divorce. So most times with men its obvious from an outsider and from the woman's perspective that it is coming or why when it happens. With a woman a lot of times the problems began to bother her a year ago, she tried to do something about it for awhile, but for the last 6 months or more she hasn't really been talking about them or anything and bam one day she decides she is done.

You two started dating at 15. You were expecting it to last forever? Your late teens are defining years, people change. Focus on the good times you both had and you're 20, you have plenty of opportunities ahead of you. Better to break up now when you're young, don't have kids together (don't think you do) and aren't bound by finances, co mingling of property etc.

+1

Trust me, it could be a LOT more complicated. You walk away with no strings attached.

Yep, this sounds like me in high school/college. I call that relationship a learning experience, even though it ended in dramatic fashion

Re: 5 years down the drain.

Wait, started dating at 15?

I agree, you expected it to last forever??? I know all of 1 person who is still with their sig. other from when they were 15 or 16. They are making it work pretty well. That is exactly 1 out of dozens of friends and acquitances. Even if you take out the ones who broke up before highschool ended that is something, what maybe 1 out of 5 or 6 who lasted past college/early 20's with their boyfriend/girlfriend from highschool.

You change a lot going through your teens and very early 20's. Lots of growing up and it makes you a different person.

Crap my engagement to my ex was a learning experience. It was 2 1/2yrs of my life I wish I had done different, but I look at it as having learned a lot, like the type of woman I really wanted. Enter my wife.
