Do you eat chicken ? this is really sad and disturbing.

A local radio show was talking about how baby chickens are sorted by sex and all male chickens are killed.

I do not eat eggs or chicken anyway.
The only chicken I eat is chicken sandwiches and they are the ones that are processed and fake, but now I doubt I will eat those.

I still will not become a Vegan, sorry!!
I love cheeseburgers

Here are the videos :

WARNING - This is very disturbing and may effect you.

Chicken is still a million times better than beef. If you saw that process you'd want to give it up too.

I was a strict vegetarian (and would often go vegan) for over 9 years. It all ended last year when I made a trip to Chic-fil-a for a chicken biscuit. Some chicken yes, but I will never eat beef or pork again.

I guess I am more moved by cute animals being slaughtered, cow killing does not bother me as much.

Hell I dont eat poultry or fish.

I cant see giving up meat though.

These videos still make me upset reguardless, I also know I cant do much to stop it.

How do you get a job doing that and live with yourself is what I want to know.

KID - Hey Daddy, what did you do today at work ?
DAD - Hey son I slaughed 150,000 cute bacy chickens
KID - AAAAHHHH!!!!!

Don't kid yourself, if a cow ever got the chance, he'd eat you and everyone you care about!

Man, I could go for some nuggets right now! Some people are just too sensitive, I swear. Where the fuck did you think we got meat from? You are eating the flesh from a dead animal that was likely not treated well from birth to death. If you can live with that, eat it all. I love just about all meat, rabbit, deer, cow, pig, chicken, gator...I could go on. If you are truly offended by the treatment of animals that are soon to become food, please don't eat them - more for me. BTW, pigs are treated much worse than those chickens.

Cows, chicken, pigs, etc. etc. all get treated the same way. To say you'll eat beef, but not chicken because the cows aren't cute is just.. well.. a bit hypocritical. It is still the same process.

With that said.. I love meat, and will continue to eat meat.

i wish there were a cost effective more humane way to eat meat. but our lives gotta go on. personally I prefer to eat organic meat (but mostly dont) because I am more worried about proper farming techniques and not consuming all the hormones regular cows and chickens are pumped full of.

That should be the main concern.

Organic chicken is easier and cheaper to come by in my area. I gladly pay an additional buck or 2 per pound for it.

What made me go veg was the resources it takes to produce edible flesh. 16lbs of grain for 1lb of edible flesh and the fact more water is used in meat production than for human consumption. All those chemicals/hormones/antibiotics end up in our water supply.
