Places to go in Anaheim area?

Another week-long business trip...this time in a crowded and touristy place: Anaheim/Orange County. Staying off of Harbor Blvd and working out of POWER's office on Ball St. Don't want to get involved with all the Disney crap or other traps. I know there is some great local fare.

I lived in So Cal many years ago, and only for a few years, but stayed mainly north of the Hollywood area.

What are some good hole-in-the-wall places to eat? Mexican, sports bars, places with microbrews...

I've got a rental (Mustang) so I was thinking about heading down to Huntington Beach one of the nights. Any good suggestions along the beach?

Next week: Rapid City and Spearfish, South Dakota.

Throwbacks has delicious taco's and a great bar to hangout especially if your an Angels fan.

i've been to Rapid City and lived in Sioux Falls, SD for 2 years. if it wasn't for that cold weather i would still be there. just everyone i've met or known in that town are wonderful.

Re: Places to go in Anaheim area?

I'll check it out, Thursday will be perfect with the start of college football, not an Angels fan but I grew up in Houston.

I like Rapid City, but I like smaller western cities on both sides of the Rockies.

Thanks...anyone else?
