Photoshop download?

I remember someone saying they uploaded photoshop somewhere on the net for people to download. Anyone know where I can get it?

Sorry, I couldn't find another area to start this thread, so it doesn't fit in the topic. haha.

Re: Photoshop download?

Ok so I got Photoshop CS4 extended. I'm trying to make a signature, like yours per say, but I forgot how to start with templates. Like a banner template so I can size it easier to a longer rectangle.

It has been a very long time since i've used photoshop and I wasn't great with it back then soo. If I could just figure out how to size the pic I want without distorting it I should be able to figure out what I want.

Re: Photoshop download?

Look under Image > Canvas Size to resize a current document, or set the new document size to what you want from the start.

Re: Photoshop download?

I'm not really sure as to what size works well for this site. I have tried to resize my images and I have gotten them to look around the size I want but it distorts the image. The way my old photoshop worked is, like I said earlier, I used a preset "banner" sized canvas and opened the pic. Once the pic was opened you could drag the pic around until you got what you wanted into the canvas.....

EDIT: I went to file>new and sized the canvas that way. Shouldn't I be able to add the picture as a separate layer and drag it around then? Every time I go to open and open the picture it opens as a new tab.

Re: Photoshop download?

open a new file with the banner size defaults... Then Place a picture into the new file. You can resize (proportionately) the picture to fit inside the visible area. You can adjust as needed.

OR you can open the picture, and using the MArquee tool, create a marquee box the size of the banner. You can move themarquee box around. Then you copy it, and open a new file. It will default to the size of your copy. then paste

using the crop tool, or copying the selection to a new layer (ctrl+j, command+j) and getting rid of the background would make the process a few less steps.

[/quote]true.. so many different ways.. I personally like opening a new file as less chance I screw up and resave over the original.. dooming me for eternity..

Re: Photoshop download?

My first attempt to do it... I cropped it, and just resized it. Not what I wanted to do for a signature at all. I guess I could mess with the background and maybe add some text. I just don't know how to add pics without opening new files. Like in word you can go to insert>image.

And its still too big..

Re: Photoshop download?

if that is the pic you wanted, probably not going to look all that great like others.. but provide the original, and we all can take a stab at it. You want the whole car in it?
