M3F runners?

Any experienced runners in the forums or others who like the occasional jog? I'm looking for some help on getting me started on increasing my stamina and a good running routine..to be able to run 8 to 10 hr with only stops for the necessities. I know people might read this and be like WHAT! but it is a goal.
just some info on me if it matters
i'm 5'8 and around 135-145lbs (it always changes alot?)
but any help would be awesome

Re: M3F runners?

any reason for 8-10 hours? My dad use to run marathons but that's in the 3 hour range (26 miles iirc) and that's considered to be quite a long run.

Re: M3F runners?

well i've always wanted to break a world record, or do something meaningful for my self. and say i did something awesome in my life time
i plan on running around America. not side to side but the borders of the country. my most convenient time would be a little over a year from now since i graduate with my AA in criminal justice, but i'd still be to young to apply for an academy
....i know people must think i'm just cluttering M3F with a weird post
