Fighting Speeding Tickets!!!

i found an article that is very interesting.....

quote i found:

For anyone who gets a laser ticket, we encourage you to fight it. That in itself isn't news, (we encourage everyone to fight all speeding tickets) but lasers are not on judicial notice in New Jersey. In fact, they're not on notice in 95% or more of the country's courts. The prosecution teams around the country are glad you don't know that.

What's "judicial notice" mean? When something has been given judicial notice, it means that the theory of operation has been proven to the court and expert testimony to prove that is no longer needed. Radar is one such example. Aircraft speed traps are another.

Hopefully, people will submit ways to beat traffic tickets to this topic.

Re: Fighting Speeding Tickets!!!

Your best chance to beat it is to hope the cop doesn't show up. If he does, chances are you lose.

forgot to add....

Laser, however, has not been proven to the courts, so the prosecution will have to fly in expert testimony to prop up their case and new toy) to prove that their latest gadgetry actually works as advertised.

latest!?!? law enforcement have been using lasers for 10+ years....

Quote:
Some states limit or restrict laser radar use. A New Jersey Appeals Court upheld (in a 2-1 decision) a lower court ruling (based on the LTI Marksman 20-20 lidar) that leaves in place restrictions on laser radar use. New Jersey Troopers can only use laser radar in clear weather and for targets less than 1000 feet.

Re: Fighting Speeding Tickets!!!

Did you honestly think police officers, or state troopers in your matter would use a speed measuring device that is not lawfully approved?

Tip: You would not have to worry or ever think about fighting a speeding ticket if you drove the speed limit.

Re: Fighting Speeding Tickets!!!

i thought i already posted this but i know locally the cops NOW have to show up or they got to write a report on why they did not show up and bla bla bla. They can't just not show up and say some BS. So find out if that rule has been implied over there too cause this is pretty recent. I know a couple cops and they can't even dismiss the ticket if they wanted to now either. Good luck fighting it

If this is indeed the case then I would have not gotten a ticket. That cop was a fudge packer anyways, and knew that he didn't laser me speeding.

One he posted a quote, and two your little rant half agrees with what he saying, there is limitations on how, when, and who can use them. I'm sure officer "never speeds" up there, can surely agree cops will lie, cheat, and use your ignorance too ticket you. So fight your tickets! And stop flaming, flamer.
