sounds like it wasn't Chevys fault rather the manufacturer of the trans. I will reflect poorly on them though...

Jesus, seems that based on the pedigree that ought to be a pretty bulletproof tranny. Maybe they did get a bad batch.

Yeah... it's a hell of a transmission. I'm wondering if it's just a bad batch or if something else is going on.

Yeah, bad batch for sure. That transmission is damn near bullet proof.

I don't know what year Viper they ran that trans in, but i know the late 902 early 2000s had trans problems, i use to to work for a Chrysler dealer and herd NUMEROUS complaints... Mut that could have been a totally diff trans.

Typical GM engineering. They probably tried to save costs by having the transmission hold together with cheap plastic clips.

and yet we have intake manifolds made out of plastic... its not only gm.

at least its not a ford. it wouldnt have made it off the lot :hide:
